The Pasadena Film Office coordinates all on-location production (features, television series, commercials, student films, independent films, still fashion shoots, etc.) in the City of Pasadena. We also market our City to the entertainment industry as a potential filming location.

The Real Property Section represents the City of Pasadena in the negotiation of leases to and from the City, property management, surplus property sales functions, and the acquisition of properties for the City. Real Property also provides cost estimates and appraisals for the City budgeting purposes, performs environmental studies and oversees the maintenance of various City owned vacant land parcels located throughout the City. The Pasadena Community Development Commission (PCDC) was established with a mission: “To enhance the economic stability of the City through economic development and affordable housing programs.”

The PCDC focuses on the identification, development and/or revitalization of commercial and neighborhood project areas within Pasadena. The PCDC is responsible for the activities of seven Redevelopment Project Areas, which generates approximately $29.7 million of tax increment within the boundaries of the Downtown, Lincoln Avenue, Fair Oaks Avenue, Villa-Parke, and Lake/Washington Redevelopment Project areas. REDEVELOPMENT NEWS

ENTERPRISE ZONE

The PASADENA ENTERPRISE ZONE WISHES TO THANK ALL WHO CONTACTED YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATORS AND VOICED YOUR SUPPORT FOR THIS PROGRAM.

Although the State eliminated the State Enterprise Zone Program on December 31, 2013, all Enterprise Zones may continue to accept and process Hiring Credit voucher applications up until January 1, 2015.  Pasadena businesses may continue to submit applications for qualified employees hired on or prior to December 31, 2013 for both the 1992 and 2007 Pasadena Enterprise Zone Designations.

The Pasadena Enterprise Zone office has issued a “not to guarantee” date of December 1, 2014 for the Hiring Credit Program.  All complete Hiring Credit applications received prior to December 1st will be processed.  However any applications received after December 1st, due to anticipated high volume, the Pasadena Enterprise Zone Office cannot guarantee to process before January 1, 2015.
